Ted Goins’ 20-year career as a certified nursing assistant helped develop his voice as a long-term care and direct care workforce advocate. Now as President and CEO of Lutheran Services Carolinas, he has grown the institution to a $140 million health and human services organization. In this edition of Friday Facts, he shares his journey as an advocate, his passion for advocacy, and his ongoing work in supporting new neighbors with immigrant and refugee experience through LCS and his roles on Board of Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service, the Editorial Board of the North Carolina Journal of Medicine, and the Board of the NC Health Care Facilities Association.
