The final session focused on health policy implementation and regulation. Presenters from NC DHHS and the North Carolina General Assembly explained the makeup of the NCGA and its committees, when it meets in session, how it impacts public health policy, and ways for legislators to be more involved with this process at the community level. Attendees learned about the divisions of NC DHHS, its policymaking commissions and advisory councils, and its role in the implementation and regulation process. The program ended with debrief and feedback.
