RALEIGH – In an effort to create better healthcare access while lowering costs, supporters of the bipartisan SAVE Act are holding a “Coffee Conversation,” at 8:30 am, on Friday, April 23 to discuss the benefits of the proposed legislation and answer questions. The conversation can be viewed live from 8:30 am until 9:00 am at www.facebook.com/AARPNC.The SAVE Act, SB 249/HB 277, with over 100 bill co-sponsors, would cut outdated red tape for Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (APRNs) and bring North Carolina in line with long established national standards.The primary objective of the SAVE Act is to modernize regulations and allow APRNs to work to the full extent of their training and education. The end result for patients will better care, faster access, and lower costs.
